My car is starting to fall apart. At 207k miles the suspensions worn, the rear windows and locks are broke, the right rear view mirror is broke, the cig lighter and cd player dont work, and the subs are blown. The ac is weak too. Also im pretty sure the compression is not very good
What can I do with this car? Is it worth fixing up? Its not even worth $2k at this point if i were to sell it

Leasing is the best way. No worries ever about the dreaded 50k mile repairs, zero responsibility for car (gets totaled, no worries), and it's a great tax write off.
Only downside is that credit agencies view it as a liability instead of an asset but who wants a depreciating asset.

Dollar for dollar, the Miata is most fun I've had in any car I have ever owned. And you can't pull all the sick skids you want and not worry about fucking anything up because nothing on the car costs more than 5 dollars.
The SLK is just more...serious. It's absolutely a blast in its own right, but it's a luxury car just as much as it is a sports car. It doesn't feel as light or toss-able, but it's extremely easy to drive fast/drive to the limit, feels more planted in certain situations

So do the Germans. Not going to knock Lexus for quality, because obviously they are well made vehicles, but it's not as if you are sacrificing quality in any way by going to a Mercedes
Also, keep in mind, Lexus has an advantage in that they don't put near the amount of bleeding edge tech into their flagship cars, so from the jump, there is less risk of failure. Lexus also has one of the easier to use infotainment systems as well, so less people come whining back to the dealership that they can't pair up their phone
Obviously, JD Power and Consumer Reports have far from a perfect methodology to test reliability, s it's easy for car makers to poll worse than they actually are, but you have to be doing something right to get to the top
I like Mercedes because I like AMG. Lexus doesn't have a v12 in their lineup either, and their shitty lineup of the RC F, and F sport vehicles is nothing compared to AMG's biturbo i4, biturbo v8 and biturbo v12.
