Muscle guys dont understand our problems
>>13828869
this is stancefag problems, not import problems
Why would you not stance an S2k
>>13828869
I feel bad for the S2000 every time I see this
>>13828900
Why would you willingly fuck up the cars suspension geometry
Is this better then
What about this
>>13828942
What about it?
Sexy?
Hatchback
I have to worry about speed bumps in the nova. The engine crossmember has 3 inches tops ground clearance. I have to get up on the Crest, and dry hop it over. Then, I have really skinny front runners with bis ply tires on them so I need to avoid potholes and such and I'm always doing the cabbage patch following ruts and all. Manual steering and brakes are fun too. The thing I love most about muscle cars is that everyone loves them (mom's with strollers exempt). I have yet to see anyone be annoyed. Everyone always waves, smiles, or takes a picture. 11/10 would recommend

Yikes. Sounds a bit of a pain, but at least you turn heads eh?
How does it drive? I've heard a lot of stories about how bloody awful muscle cars are to drive, but never really heard much from regular owners.
>Be me
>Drive Sliver NB Miata
>Bought it off mom's friend
>2001, 80k on the clock, paid $3500
>They put serious effort into maintaining it
>Also put in that same effort
>Drive up to work for my paycheck
>It's like 70 out, have the top and windows down
>Park way at the end of the lot so no one dings my car
>Walk in, get paycheck, buy some K-cups for my Keurig, walk out
>Ten feet from my car
>Some chevy rolls up
>Hispanic man leans out of window
>"Is that your car?"
>"Uh, yeah it is."
>"What's a kid like you driving a Viper?"
>Nigga wat
>mfw
>Look at car and back at him
>"What?"
>"I said what's a kid like you driving a dodge viper? Is it your dad's or something?"
>"Dude, it's a Mazda Miata."
>Point at Mazda badge
>He quickly rolls up his window and speeds away
>Can see Posole spilling out of the tail pipe
>Drive home confused
>>13829050
At actually drives very well. Manual steering isn't bad at all once you're above 3 mph and manual brakes arent that bad as long as you have disks at least in the front like I do. And the having to wrestle it through ruts can mostly be attributed to my shitty alignment after I cut the springs. It's all good in the hood brother
>tfw no acceleration
The muscle guys will never know
>>13829050
I owned a 68 firebird 400. It sounded badass and got a lot of attention, but that was about it.
Throttle response was shit, steering was loose, and fuel economy was non existant. Muscle cars are nice because they are easy to work on, but be prepared to work on them all the time.
>>13829079
And the reason why my car has manual everything is because it's a late seventies GM base coupe. With power steering and brakes I bet it wouldn't be no thang to drive it all the time
>>13829076
I always thought they looked similar. It's the headlights.
>>13829076
Kek
>>13829076
>Keurig
Come on dude, those things are so bad for the environment it's mind boggling. The inventor has renounced the whole system and urges people not to buy them because the cups are so wasteful and literally impossible to recycle or make biodegradable.
>>13829119
I typically use those reusable K-Cup filters for the old canned Coffee grounds. Sometimes I'm just a huge slut for Cinnibun coffee.
I do
Shits basically on the ground
less than 3 inches of ground clearance
>>13829076
Ahhh viper... WoW kek
>>13829119
The guy who invented it did not foresee plastic cups being environmentally friendly?
>tfw with my slicks car sits high if not higher than stock even with the 1.5" drop from my suspension
feels pretty good
>>13829216
That thing is fucking dank. What times are you running? My fastest time from Mt first time with the nova was 13.01 at 105 but I was having traction issues.
>>13829222
I literally haven't gotten to go to the track at all this year with my car because I've worked most every weekend, and the few weekends I've had off I went to visit my gf.
It's actually why I'm preparing to sell the car, just don't have the time to race it anymore. I drive it on the street a lot though, so looking to just get a better cruiser.
Last year on a much smaller turbo setup (16g) and street tires it went 11.6@119 with a slipping clutch. That was probably 380whp or so.
If I was going to guestimate based off my ass dyno currently the car on the new setup on 28-30psi has been around 500-520whp. No verification on that though, but when I do have it on the "aggressive tune" and boost turned up it's a fun ride.
>>13829254
Holy shit mang. Me and my dad are putting a roller cam 406 in the nova and we hope to get into the 11s. I'm always amazed about how much people can squeeze out of DSMs
>>13829019
sn95 5.slow here.
Lowered about 1.75" all around. I take speed bumps and the ridiculous rail crossings here at around 45MPH. Crossmembers, and occasionally the driveshaft hit, bumpers always bottom out. Stuff is made out of steel for a reason (cept for the drive shaft). Gets scraped up, but it'll live. On the plus side, if you drive the same route a lot, you'll eventually break down the speed bumps and it won't hit after a while.
>>13829265
yeah. Honestly if I were to keep the car it'd go back to a 16g. I had more fun on that ghetto baby setup. Surprised a lot of people.
On the new turbo setup, the looks aren't as deceiving as they used to be and street manners aren't as friendly as they were on the 16g.
I doubt you have much issue getting 11's out of the nova if it's all set up right.
>>13829298
Yeah the previous owner got into the 11s on the old motor but the front main bearing backed out. So we bought a fresh 406 shortblock out of Milwaukee, scavenged the aluminum heads off the junk motor, and slapped it in the car. One set of hydraulic flat tappet lifter later, my dad wants to build a roller cam motor with stupid high compression and 10.5 Hoosier slicks. This whole father son project thing turned him back into teenager but now with the money of a 56 year old man who is a maintainace administrator at a high school district, he wants to do all this crazy shit
>>13829312
I forgot the picture I took of the bearing
Bumping the import thread with Mia and her friend the 02

Those headlights are literally worse than the holocaust.

>>13828869
This is a stancefag problem, not a Japanese or European car exclusive problem.
>>13829050
Depends on the car, some of them are really nice, a neglected old one can be a handful.
