I'm finally a hascars again. Got this bad boy for 500 shmeckles. To celebrate, let's have some before and afters!

If you haven't modded your car yet, let's hear what your plans are.

If you only have an after, list what you've done to it so far and what's next.

Why does it look like a tiny bronco?
Like someone made a stubby ranger with a shell
>>
>>13826988
Because it's a Bronco II and that's exactly what it is.

Imagine this, but no stickers or the wheels....haven't really done much yet.

Going to lower it a couple inches next summer...hopefully.

Not much... lights, wheel, polish, rust removal and some other non visible fixes/additions like an engine heater

I heard that the 2.9 was the more reliable engine in the Bronco IIs.

Thanks, sanded it and primed it myself. It was a birthday present for my dad.

I'm a big fan of the 67-72s. I had a 1971 Custom Deluxe that I sold last fall because I got a good offer on it and I've regretted in ever since. They're pretty hard vehicles to find in decent condition.

Christ, how roughly has this poor thing been treated in the past?
>>

the lady I bought it from I swear did 0 maintenance to it, had the factory spark plugs, wires etc. even the factory fuel filter lol

when the trans went the tech said that it looked like it was only changed once, which is why it blew up it up.

after i found out it had the stock factory plugs I went and looked for anything that was factory stuff and changed it all out right away, changed the oil the day i borught it home and put synthetic amsoil in it.
>>
>>13830386
It had 191,000 KM's on it when I bought it, now 238,000
>>
>>13830372
the engine only went because of my stupidity though
was checking on the spark plugs to make sure no damage was done to it and somehow dropped a rock down cylinder 4, only know that because the mechanic i take it to when i need help with stuff said "yeah there's a rock welded to the top of the piston"

Atleast you took some wisdom from it, eh?
>>
>>13830404
yup. you tend to when you make a mistake that costs you $3500.
now i spray out the engine bay with my air compressor any time i take anything off, and make sure no rocks or anything is on me before i climb into the enigne bay

If you beat the piss out of it (read: overheat) then it'll crack a head and your day is over, but if you keep it cool then it'll run forever.

I managed to use the wrong gascan when filling up my first moped after I had put on the new tuning parts, and completely wrecked my brand new Malossi cylinder that had cost me $300... that felt bad enough by itself, can't imagine how hard I'd kick myself in the ass by killing the entire engine

oh and the leaf springs went because I put 35 75lbs square bales in it (was hauling hay when i had time off from work) and 40 on my sled trailer... didnt like it to much, lucky they snapped when I got home and got it in the driveway without the rear end falling out, in hind sight I think 5,625lbs of hay in a half tonne was a bad idea but I put upgraded leaf springs in it
