Old wanderlodge, Barth, or GM RV like pic related.

For 5k they'll be in rough shape but fundamentally they're good stuff.

If maintenance bills are a concern, see if you can get a Toyota Sunrader. They're tiny but reliable.

I've read a bit about the Toyota motorhomes, never seen them discussed here though. How are they? Apart from potentially snapping axles

I like the dolphins before they got too big. Chinooks look nice as well.

how big are you looking for?
>picked this whore up for $250 bucks running/driving and it passed inspection.
interior was shot but you can find a good late 80s motor home for under 2 grand

If one wanted a campervan lifestyle without a van, what could they pick up instead?

a tent and a sleeping bag

I was thinking about doing that with my motorcycle b/c fuel economy, easy repair, low costs, etc. but I'm not hardcore enough. It's way too cold right now.

IDK man, that sub is pretty bad. There's some good posters that have their heads on straight but the majority of the subscribers are retards that have no idea what they're doing.

Some of the builds on there aren't really builds, just old conversion vans with the seats ripped out and a plywood bed frame hacked together. No stealth and insulation is nonexistent.
