On the very slight chance that you're serious, why would you handicap yourself with inferior rubber?
>>
>>13814752
waste of money, it would probably be more efficient to just burn it for warmth then spend it on dumb shit like winter wheels and anti winter paint or whatever

This, desu. Unless you live where it goes down to -30 on the regular, there's no need for any prep beyond winter tires. Even when my '03 impreza spent last winter in Thunder Bay, all it needed was a block heater, and obviously winter wiper fluid.

Winter tires
Lead in the luggage compartment
DEFA water heater
Rustproofing on the more exposed areas

Pretty much all I need. Have a set of chains aswell (never needed), aswell as having the normal stuff that I never bother taking out (tow rope, start cables, starter fluid)

g2g on that front, got them changed over a couple weeks back.

>Oil pan heater on a timed circuit, turns on 3 hours before i leave for work every day

Never needed one of those. Fired up both my sitboxes in -20 before, both still run just fine and dandy.

> Remote starter wired up

Too cheap. I just start my car when I get done shoveling the driveway. Nice and toasty whenever I get back out to it.

> Undercoat car with fluid film, need about a gallon of it

Did the one car, skimped a bit, just did the main body, doors, trunk, hood. didn't pull the fender liners and spray under those. Fluid film seems to hold a year or better on non-exposed surfaces anyway. Need to spray the other car tomorrow. Just came out of the body shop, so it'll need a thorough going through. Not looking forward to it....

Did oil changes on both cars last month, brakes on both cars are less than 6 months old, new struts on one car (lifted it like 3 inches), no major issues that I know of, should be good to go for another winter.

Even got a snowblower this year, rebuilt the carb on that, changed the oil, greased all the zerk fittings, changed the gear oil for the augers, should run like a top if I ever get motivated enough to use the thing.
>>
>>13820408
>Even got a snowblower this year
probably one of the best things you can buy in a snowy climate. beats the shit out of shoveling by a ton
>>
40.71N and its still 65 degrees american out, weathermen are predicting a nasty winter though so at least theres that

I dont know the purpose of a square wheel? are they actually square? Phoenix fag here and it is just now getting cold

just means all four are the same size instead of say the rear wheels being wider than the fronts

Poorly, I'm afraid
They're just mounted ontop of a steel-plate that I've attached to the frontbumper where the license plate-holder usually is. Problem with construction is that due to the grille following the hood there is no way to properly stabilize the lights, with the result that they shake a bit when the roads are rougher

Still, they do what they're supposed to do and I don't think I'll be able to DD a car with a worse light-setup than I have currently
>>
>>13820698
Ah, I had one of those plate mounts but never got around to installing it as I would have needed to pull the bumper and use some big washers, even then flimsy plastic yo. I have a mk6 gti and was going to drill into the bumper beam and hang some lights under the bumper behind the grille.
>>
>>13820656
and that improves traction in snow?

That would probably be a lot better... the lights are also a tad fuckhuge and heavy, and having three of them is just a bit overkill for the plastic on my bumper

For my next car (LandCruiser, Patrol or similar) I'll most likely end up having 2 x 9 inch 75w xenon lamps for ranged and two smaller LED-bars on the roof for the closer areas

Sure am glad it doesn't snow where I live.
>>
>>13820729
Wide tires are undesirable on snow and ice.
>>
Have winter tires, haven't put them on because the average temp isn't below 45 and we've only have a dusting of snow.
