Are there any automatic wizards here able to tell me if trans is kill or not
While driving usually in 3rd and 4th, the revs will drop to 1.5k and make a loud rumble/humming sound. Is anybody familiar with this problem or able to give some advice

If it's the 3-4 clutch pack, you're going to need a rebuilt transmission...
Does it happen in any other gear? Rumble/humming just sounds like an engine trying to apply torque at a low RPM. If it's not supposed to shift that low, could be a range sensor going out, but last time I experienced that the trans would start slamming randomly around all the gears.
If shit exploded, you'd hear a nasty grinding.
Would probably be good to tell what car it is...
How long has it been since you replace the fluid and filter?
