/o/, I've had a hankering for a specific car lately, but I can't seem to find one that meets the needs.

>sedan
>hardtop
>20 feet long
>torpedo bumpers
>wings at the back
>over 5500lbs
>V8, bigger than 5L
>cloud suspension

Picture unrelated.

Sounds like a late 1950s Cadillac is in your future.
>>
No hardtop sedan 20 feet long has ever been made. The longest full size hardtop sedans ever were about a foot short.

Neither has a hardtop car weighing over 5500 lbs ever been made. Even GM clamshell wagons don't reach 5500 lbs, and the stretched Cadillac Series 70/75 only ever reached it as a pillar roof sedan.

Ok, so 19 feet and 5000lbs or so, I have a bit of leeway.

I do want my wings and torpedoes though.

Oh, and it should be American.

The high point of torpedo bumpers was probably around 1955, plus minus a few years. Fins started developing in the mid '50s and disappeared extremely quickly after 1960. In terms of length, weight and styling the optimal choice would be a '54-'56 Cadillac Sixty Special ('57-'58 for smaller torpedos and bigger fins), but those will be expensive so it's worth combing through the offerings of other American brands around the same time as well.

However Cadillac in particular designed a renaissance of fin inspired styling on their full size deVille models, albeit in boxier shape, as late as 1970, and their lower price makes them a formidable option if you can live without torpedos.
