Who here enjoys concours exhibitions? Which do you attend?
The Bund Classic, China’s first classic car showcase to take place in Shanghai on October 16th to 18th 2015

I'm going there, most of the cars will be from the museum

As in a show for classic Chinese cars in particular? Surely there must have been some sort of classic car show in China before now - the place has a population of over a billion, for God's sake.

No. China doesn't have a classic car scene.
China barely has any classic cars at all (At least those average peple could afford)
theres a monthly cruise in thats mostly classics here
I check them out every once in a while its mostly a bunch of old American steel with a few British, Japanese, and German cars here and there (though there are some modern cars too, usually a section of just Mustangs)
Imagine if China got a little wealthier and a hundred million zergs started buying up classic cars from the west.

These are not Chinese manufacturers if that is what you ask

However, this is China's only concours event. China is new to the numbers-matching, documented history style of concours shows.

Are you bringing a camera?

That's been happening for a long time.
But the chinese goverment pretty much cockblocks them through everything from importation to road legal status.
But if you know enough people you can get it
I saw a 50s era Rolls Royce driving around once but i'm sure it was a wedding car

Yeah.
I would have gone last year if I had known about it

Shame, I was looking forward to shit like "This is a replica of a 1995 Range Rover that still has two working speakers and an only slightly cracked dash!"
