Why is that murderer Caitlyn Jenner even on the list?
>>
Is this a list for Americans or is it supposed to represent the world? Because I don't see how some "literally who?" Americans are on the same level as globally relevant statesmen.
>>
>>7606
The only one I didn't know is Travis Kalanick, who it turns out is the founder and CEO of Uber.
>>
>>7602
>Trump
>Jenner

This is why I don't take TIME seriously
>>
>>7612
at least Trump is relevant
>>
>>7616
No he didn't. Sure, he effected this race, but I doubt he'll be remembered as anything other than "that rich nut that tried to be president."
>>
>>7618
>he effected this race
effected != affected
>>
>>7602
I'm reading this article and still don't get why Merkel is the person of the year.

But having Trump and Jenner on it is a joke. If Trump WINS the primary and presidency, then he'd be a lock.
>>
>>7602

Should been the Uber dude. Only person on there that actually had a legitimate fix to one of our problems.
>>
>>7607
It's a good service and one that we probably should've already had by this point in time, considering it's THE CURRENT YEAR.

If nothing else, it provides an excellent way for drunks to get home without having to risk a DUI and a murder charge (like Bruce Jenner should've gotten). But all in all, it's one of the most pro-free-market phenomenon I've seen in years. Your city has a shit taxi-service that overcharges? Shit, sign your city up for Uber. Your city lacks public transportation? Uber. People will always be willing to drive others around with a GPS for money because it's easy and can actually be fun. Full time or Part time, it doesn't matter. Uber will never have a shortage of drivers, and will never have a shortage of passengers. It's genius.

I'm glad he's higher up on the list than that murderer Bruce Jenner.
>>
Why is albahdadhi on this list?
>>
>>7647
Because she ruined an entire continent and is pushing the globalist-communist agenda.
>>
>>7602
>that fucking list
American journalism is such a fucking joke, holy shit.
>>
>>7616
Nice meme politician, braindead /pol/lack.
>>
>>7602
I was pulling for Bernie to be the PotY. Still, I can see why they picked Merkel. I certainly wouldn't want her job.
>>
>>7663
Hitler was Time people of the year once as well. Being person of the year has more to do with global impact than morals or integrity.

In fact I'm surprised Al-Baghdadi isn't #1 on the list. Probably bumped him down a bit to avoid the controversy.
>>
>>7605
Caitlyn Jenner is #1 Freak Show of the Year.
>>
>>7602
I mean, she IS the most relevant person of the year.
Nobody fucked up as hard as she did.
>>
Most influential people are Muslim Terrorists, leftist-liberals and a transgender who is hypocritically against gays and gay marriage.
>>
>>7706
The list is for influential people, not good people.
>>
Reminder that it's not BEST person of the year, it's most impactful.
>>
>>7602
What the fuck is a hashtag doing on the list?
>>
>>7734
Doubt it. Stalin was Time POTY twice.

Although I also doubt Merkel was more influential than Al-Baghdadi.
>>
>>7874
You know it isn't like black folks have been murdered with impunity for decades while nobody does nothing about it
>>
>>7884
Its mostly the deads' fault as they don't know how ti surrender. Anyway it's prettydumb. Hashtags are people
>>
Bernie Sanders won Reader's pick, so I'm good.
>>
time to say good bye
>>
>most incompetent, passive, inept politician in the world
>person of the year

what has this fat eastern german slut done to deserve this? wow, she sat back and watched while a million refugees flooded into her country, with no plan on what to do with them, completely relying on voluntary help.
that sure is praiseworthy.
>>
Hello. I am a young Pole and I see these happening at our border .... that hundreds of men ready to fight. A woman ??They wear 3 children on his hands, backpacks, bags, etc. These guys have it somewhere .... but it's their religion .WTF Germany already are afraid to live in their own country, with Poland am not afraid. But we begin to fear our government because if someone publicly objection immediately give them a racist, fascist or other anti-someone (sry for pol. I explained on google)
>>
Daily reminder, because no one ever gets this: Person of the year represents who had the most impact and is not an award of the person who did the greatest or nicest things.

Bin Laden was once supposed to be person of the year but was changed due to outraged. Stalin has had it like twice and so has Hitler.
>>
>>7843
As a leftist liberal, I don't feel any real influence m8
>>
>>7908
>praise
Person of the year is not a praise award, dunce. Every fucking god damn year since the awards initial year like a century ago, there's been someone who thinks the award is a badge of honor. All it means is most influential.

Admittedly they rarely give it to the most influential either do to the misconceptions you and others have about the award. ISIS should have won, but then all the people who don't understand the award would flip
>>
>>7772
This
>>
>>7605
I think you're trying to hard when Baghdadi is number 2 on the list. It's about impact, not morality.
>>
>>7912
They always use buzzwords to fight, you have to just ignore them and use logic

People eventually get sick of hearing buzzwords instead of a real argument
>>
>>7618
>causing so much asspain that UK wants to ban him
>not globally relevant
just because you don't like him, doesn't mean he is not relevant or else there wouldn't be death threats coming from a member of the ACLU
>>
>>7707

meme magic is real.
>>
you're a fool if you give a shit about this after they pussied out in 2001 and gave it to the NY mayor instead of bin laden
>>
>>7602
>4. Black Lives Matter
I've never met him.
>>
>Black Lives Matter
What the fuck? Did SJWs rig the poll or something?
>>
>murderer Caitlyn Jenner

Where the fresh hell this meme come from?
>>
>>8177
bruce jenner was in a car crash a while back and the other person ded
>>
>>8166
SJWs probably wanted CIS Scum to win the poll...
>>
>>8216
Okay, how is 'car accident' the same as 'murder'?
>>
>>8246
He was impaired at the time. That is to say, he was a woman.
>>
>>8272
Not to defend socialism, but one of the main factors for the collapse is the thoughtless implementation of a shared currency.
Another one is the thoughtless opening of borders to immigrants. Neither of those two is particularly socialist.
>>
>>8276
>Globalist Socialism
What?

>Nationalist Socialism
You talking about this?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_socialism
>>
>>8283
There is such a thing as international socialism, but that's for the proletarians to fight against the international free market, not for national governments. International socialism works towards the world revolution and thus towards socialism, not within a socialist country.

With the socialist mindset it is criminal to accumulate large amounts of wealth by having others work in your factories.
A rich country in the modern world cannot be actually socialist. It must justify the discrepancy between its own wealth and the poverty of others with free market ideas. At best it can have socialist aspects.
That roughly describes Europe though.
They are (relatively) free market economies, but they also offer some socialist extras to their inhabitants.

>1 million refugees in Germany this year
>20 million muslims by 2020

how many billions does this cost? Will they have to convert their homes to cucksheds soon?
>>
>>8391
>20 million muslims by 2020

What?

I mean it's true that more than 60% of the refugees that come here are muslims, but how the fuck will there be 20 million of them by 2020?
>>
>>8391
I have to add something to >>8415

You can't trust CSU politicians. They are batshit-crazy and Germans know that. That's why people call Bavaria the "crazy south", because the CSU is very successful there.
>>
>>8391
>how many billions does this cost?
Newspapers are already speaking of a strengthened German economy because of the refugees.
>>
>>8448
It does make sense though.
Germany's domestic economy has been lackluster, what with Germans having so little money to spend.
The refugees need (and get) food, and that boosts sales.
Whether this growth is healthy or not is a different question.
>>
>>7939
>ISIS should have won
Not it shouldn't have because ISIS is not a person you dumb fuck.
>>
>>8721
I beg to differ.

>>
>>8724
Well all I can say is she sure influences my dick.
>>
>>7661
You wanna drive around people without insurance and get totally wrecked financially if you ever run into an accident? Drive for Uber.
You want to force people to drive with shitty underpaid nutjobs who may or may not try to murder or rape you because they can barely be traced? Drive with Uber and run Taxi services out of business.

Yes, Taxis are fucking overpriced, but at least they do their job correctly with professional training and shit. They are there when you are fucked and you shouldn't need to use their services all the time, anyway.
>>
>>7602
>a hashtag gets a spot
>a literal meme

Pepe for person of the year 2016
>>
>>7607
What the hell is Uber? No i'm not joking
>>
>>7602
