http://www.hindustantimes.com/health-and-fitness/72-yr-old-gives-birth-doctors-say-she-s-too-old-what-s-the-right-age/story-ksJfohUXVyhQpZf8lIDukI.html

>After 46 years of marriage, 72-year-old Daljinder Kaur finally gave birth to a healthy baby boy in April, after two years of fertility treatment in Haryana. She is one of oldest women to give birth in India. But some medical experts say she is ‘too old’.

>In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF), donated eggs and other fertility technologies might have opened up pregnancy to a lot of women, but their decision still attracts suspicion and controversy. For Dr Gunjan Kacker, senior IVF specialist at Aveya Fertility in Delhi, a late-in-life pregnancy is not a question of medical possibility but of unclear consequences. Hence she stresses there should be a cut-off age for women trying to be a mother.

>“Women should have children before it is too late,” she says, “Mainly because it could increase the risk of health complications for the child, and it would be unfair on the child to have old parents, who may not live long enough to see them grow up.”

>Dr Laxmi Aggarwal, a gynaecologist from Kolkata, believes it was “unnatural” for women to have babies after a certain age. (Read menopause.)

>Although, there is no legal age restriction for couples who want to have IVF treatment in India, the state-funded Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) advises against implanting embryos in women over 50.

I'm sure it's super responsible to have a kid when you'll be dead before they're 18.

Men can have babies late into their life..
But women... Postmenopausal 72 don't had enough hormones to produce ovum, stabilise it and maintain a pregnancy !
This is actually amazing.

Wonderful. Looks like roaches can breed at any stage of their life cycles.

That is what makes them so dangerous.

Why do indians reproduce this much? They go such lenghts to leave offprings when the country is so fiilled? WHY?
>>
>>44485
It's not
With women this old the chances of deficiencies like autism skyrocket. It's not a responsible thing to do at all.
>>
Should be more illegal than incest. The chances of defects in this child are as a high as were the chances of him being conceived were low. Then again, we live in a world were literally retards can fucking breed.

Potatoes in the US shouldn't legally be allowed to breed. They can't legally give consent and are therefore raping each other. Legal guardians are compelled to step in and terminate the pregnancy due to the danger imposed on the mother and the fetus being the result of rape.

People who allow potatoes to breed are not only negligent, but criminally so. This is why chemical castration of Downsies is not only a good idea, but it should be mandated by law.

Poodians shouldn't be allowed to breed, globally, for the next 60 years.

Why does anyone reproduce?

Not everyone should reproduce.

Earth is overcrowded by trash from Asia and Africa.
They need to be progressive enough to enact family policies.

Now,if Earth had one billion english or japanese or jews,we'd be colonizing space.
Their demographic potential is higher compared to everyone else in Asia,Africa and LatAm.

Unless that family is rich then I feel sorry for that boy when he gets older.

Don't worry with so many Muslims in Europe these days there will be more births happening. Granted the women giving birth might not have given consent for it to be conceived but it's a small matter.

I thought it was confirmed that older men's sperm is the cause of higher chances of autism in children

I had thought so as well. Here's a result of a few seconds with google, which is not meant to be exhaustive, but rather indicative:

http://ajph.aphapublications.org/doi/abs/10.2105/AJPH.2008.149021
>Conclusions. Pooling data across multiple birth cohorts inflates the risk associated with paternal age. Analyses that do not suffer from problems produced by pooling across birth cohorts demonstrated that advanced maternal age, rather than paternal age, may pose greater risk

http://aje.oxfordjournals.org/content/168/11/1268.short
>After adjustment for the other parent's age, birth order, maternal education, and other covariates, both maternal and paternal age were independently associated with autism (adjusted odds ratio for maternal age ≥35 vs. 25–29 years=1.3, 95% confidence interval: 1.1, 1.6; adjusted odds ratio for paternal age ≥40 years vs. 25–29 years=1.4, 95% confidence interval: 1.1, 1.8).

http://www.nature.com/mp/journal/v16/n12/abs/mp2010121a.html
>In the birth cohort, autism risk increased monotonically with increasing paternal age. Offspring of men aged greater than or equal to 50 years were 2.2 times (95% confidence interval: 1.26–3.88: P=0.006) more likely to have autism than offspring of men aged less than or equal to 29 years, after controlling for maternal age and documented risk factors for autism.

Looks like (what do you know) both are factors. I suspect that the paternal age link was researched first, and therefore has become more widely known.
