Fighting the good fight...

http://www.ibtimes.com/how-anonymous-fights-isis-its-more-about-research-hacking-2202869
>>
I like how Hiro thinks that le Anonymous hacking group = 4chan.
>>
>>2104
Hiro doesn't know squat about appropriate boards, board culture, board etiquette, 4chan's history, etc. so just ignore him if possible.
>>
>>2103
Did EFG or the Anonymous with Vendetta masks came first? If it's EFG then wearing the mask is unintentionally ironic to their cause.
>>
>>2463
EFG came first.
Then there was a 4chan meet-up where people were wearing them a) because they were still being anonymous and b) because it was a self-depreciating kind of funny to associate yourself with EFG.
But when the news media got a hold of it, they associated the mask with the big evil Anonymous hackergroup, and from then on EFG was forgotten.
>>
>>2103
What will they do, throw a mask at ISIS? Those guys have fucking bombs, meanwhile Anunemoas have """computer ''''hacking'''' skills"""".

>>2463
EFG.
>>
Anonymous is helping ISIS more than anything. ISIS has started using better encryption and more secure channels of communication.
>>
>>2496
Oft-repeated, but untrue; the guys in Paris did all their stuff in completely-standard, totally unencrypted SMS.
>>
Forget the """""hacking""""". Anonymous would do better by going old school and just rickrolling them, plastering trap porn on their sites/social media.

ISIS propaganda videos are top notch and make them look pretty badass. Humiliating them would do more than anything.
>>
>>2496
>>2103
>Anonymoose does this, anonymoose does that.

It's just a bunch of random people who use the internet. It's not a group, it never will be.
>>
ISIS clearly. Those guys have Allah on their side
>>
>ISIS kills people and conquers land
>anonymous whines on social media
>>
>>2103
There are no winners in war.
>>
>>2529
only winrars
>>
>>2512
We have hyperpenis on our side and also the Kiwibird...
>>
>>2538
Winrars don't do drugs
>>
>>2529
Except all the political power, wealth, land, etc. won in war.

Why are pacifists so retarded?

>Except all the political power, wealth, land, etc. won in war.
War is very expensive. It's more of a money sink than a way to gain money.
Land? Who wants land? The US have more land than they know what to do with.
Political power? Hello ISIS. Hello, basically ungovernable territories.

Wars are fought for resources nowadays, to win elections back home and because weapon manufacturers bribe politicians.
>>
>>2104
Aren't we a hacking forum?
>>
>>2103
I only hope anyonymous does something for once and exposes people funding ISIS
>>
>>2503
take it from someone who was part of the weird pseudo-movement they have right now, it's harmless. There's 5 guys or so who actually hack and shit with ~800000000000 people saying "yaaaaay go hackzerssss!"
>>
>>2104
>>2109
>Implying he's not trolling us.
>>
Where was this war on ISIS declared? In some media persons head? Wasn't here!
>>
>>2103
I mean, it's the best they can do I guess. It's only going to be a slight annoyance to ISIS, not much change in the end but at least it's something.
>>

Fighting the IS Group will be a generational struggle and their cyber operations are increasingly recognized as a significant front of their terrorism, their recruitment, and their daily operations. Any effort done by Anons as a group or independently should not be underestimated or dismissed. If people are serious about protecting their values or just their cyber fiefdoms, and they're ready to homestead for the long haul then they will remain important force multipliers in the fight.

That said, the best thing they can do is report terrorist activity to the appropriate authorities rather than take it upon themselves.

Here's a better article on the phenomenon:

>It's just a bunch of random SJWs who use tumblr and leddit. It's not a group, it never will be.
FTFY
>>
>>2103
anonymous is a fucking joke tbh
>>
>>3265
>FTFY
hello tumblr
>>
>>2470
This tbh. Deleting twitter accounts doesn't do anything. They can make new ones in a minute. Degrading their websites or twitter profiles adds to the whole "fight terror with humour" shit that's happening right now. They should stop trying to be internet police.
>>
Won't this degrade any real effort to counter terrorists. If there were such an effort. Pressure from people like Anonymous would motivate terrorists to increase their operational security etc.
>>
>>2103
Remember when "Anonymous" tried to start a fight with the Cartels?
>>
>>3603
I don't keep track of every 17-year-old's youtube channel.
>>
>>2515
This.

I'm gonna go with the strong horse.
>>
>Anonymous

Is it 2008 again?
>>
>>3672
The guy the mask is based on is from the 1400s so we have staying power, baby.
>>
anonymous isn't even an official hacker group. Anonymous is an internet relic, part of the scientology movement. Anonymous was never a hacker group. It's always been 4chan.
Tl;dr: Anonymous isn't an actual thing. so technically, isis.
>>
>>3936
no it isn't. What the fuck are you talking about?
>>
>>2104
REDDITFAG ALERT
>>
>>2658
Instead of searching coding , board.. you
>>
>>2512
We have Pepe.
>>
>>3951
I was under the impression that for a while anonymous was a UK based hacking group.

Then they got fucked and it evolved into what's coined as "hacktivism".
>>
Inshah Allah
>>
>>2529
Can you be any more gay?
>>
it doesn't matter the blood shed we spill anymore a few well placed men can change the world history is set by this principal the anons could be doing far better but at least there willing to try an to sacrifice for the world we leave behind wars are diplomatic now an no longer fought with guns an lives we are living in a great time of change pick your side an lets do battle with words or with blood no more peace until they kill every last one of us
>>
>>3966
Pepe is the only way to victory
>>
