>first day working in a cruise
>I arrived to this city a few hours ago, I just checked in in the cruise and they showed me my cabin. Work starts the next day.
>Cabin is for 4 people, one bed was already in use. I was the first of the three new guys, the other two would arrive a few days later
>Roommate wasn't here, so I had this night for myself
>There are 4 lockers. 3 are made of metal and 1 is made of wood
>Let's call the metal lockers as A, B and C. Being A the one at the left and C the one at the right. The wood locker was next to the door and far from the metal ones
>C was in use and B had the lock broken, so I picked A
>I put my suitcase inside and organized my clothing, books, laptop, etc.
>Then, I was thinking where to put my keys. It must be a place where nobody could steal them.

>I couldn't think of someplace at the moment, so I just put them in my bag and put the bag in a chair next to my bed
>I took the laptop and used it while in bed
>One hour later, I put the laptop inside the locker and I changed into my pajama
>I took my 3DS from my bag and put in the locker my bag with my keys inside and locked it
>I played like 20 minutes and then I realized what happened
>I was scared of what should I do. I don't know anyone in the cruise yet. I don't know the cruise, so I wouldn't know where to go to ask for help. And I was in my pajamas, my clothes were inside the locker.
>There was a small gap when I tried to open the door, but it wasn't enough to take my keys.
>I thought of only one solution and I only had one chance: break the lock
>If I force it enough it might break and if breaks in the middle I could open it
>I moved it back and forward for a while until it broke and I could take my things back
>Then I took one of the lock keys and hid it in the cabin, the other keys were hidden under my pillow when I sleep
>A couple days later I told my boss what happened
>I used the wood locker since then and the new guys had to use the broken lockers until they fixed them.
