Anyway OP, check out Alex Calder. He's got an EP called Time, and an album called Strange Dreams, he's pretty great and has worked with Mac before.

Can't believe he's not talked about more. In the 90s he released 5 critically acclaimed albums back to back which are a narrative about a man life and eventual death.
I'm on fatherhood right now, the third album. It's charming, catchy, thoroughly bizarre pop music with some amazing tracks.

V3 are also worth checking out, they're basically a good lo-fi nirvana. The guitar player (Jim Shepard) is a legend in the underground lo-fi scene.
