Obscura is wacky too, but in a different sense. Obscura is a very wacky-sounding, dissonant album made by some Canadians. Nespithe is a (somewhat old) one-off album full of wacky imagery from some dudes in Finland.
When you're talking about poseur-types the second kind of wacky is more important.
Obscura doesn't really have a lot of jazz influences other than using fucked rhythms and time signatures (which isn't really unique to jazz anyway). The way it sounds is not the way "jazzy" scales and chords tend to sound.

The problem with that is that, according to Luc Lemay, Steeve Hurdle was the one writing the fucked up jazz shit. Luc was more of a classically trained musician, which also shows up in Obscura, and if I'm being honest, is probably more influential in their sound. But the difference between Obscura and FWTH is Steeve Hurdle.
And interviews with Hurdle are difficult to find because he's dead.

Like, I'm new to metal, and I enjoyed Filsofsem and Hvis, decided to see what the more modern types and Memethony Fantano said that Sunbather was a good black metal album so I gave it a listen but it sounded underwhelming compared to Burzum's albums, almost like a different genre. It's not as "dense" as burzum, it's still good but it's not really what I was hoping for.
I want something more dense and distorted than Sunbather.
