And even when I dislike a song, I can often find something good to say about it, like the drumming or the chord progressions or whatever, and I try to explain in subjective terms why I don't like it, e.g. "it's too laid back for me" or "I find that transition too jarring". But I have a music degree, so these things are easier for me to articulate.
