Where has this been all my life, /mu/?

What should I listen to of his next?
>>
none of them are nearly as good as that, unfortunately

his next most acclaimed album is a solid but overrated jazzy-pop album from the 70s, instead of a folk-jazz masterpiece like its predecessor

Veedon Fleece and Saint Dominic's Preview are both good but not even close to being on par with Astral Weeks too

It's Too Late to Stop Now is also good

Yeah, I never understood the love for the title track on the Moondance album

"Listen to the Lion" is the closest he ever gets to that album
>>

Moondance is pretty great, I'd go for that one

Pretty much this. Astral Weeks transcends Van Morrison's discography. Everything else – even the good stuff – pales in comparison.

IMO, the only other acoustic guitar/singer-songwriter albums that are as good as AW are Benji and Pink Moon. Those are already /mu/ canon, so that probably doesn't help.

you all can fuck right off, moondance is the shit
>>
i love astral weeks but i love veedon fleece even more, try that

Or I just prefer those albums/artists. Feel free to recommend your favorites.
