Why have these mumor threads hit a point where the "humor" isn't even /mu/ related? It's all become post-post-post ironic memes with no contextual or inherent comedic value. It's reached the antithesis of humor where everyone mistakes false humor for real humor.
This type of humor started as a satire of forced memes, which often exaggerated the components of such memes which, in context of what they were satirizing, was funny. From poorly drawn troll faces to trivial fandoms such as Brogres, it was a protest to the state of memes which were pushed to become memes over having humor to make it last or, at the least, funny. Additionally, it wasn't distastefully overexaggerated to the stage where it becomes plain stupid and forgets what it tries to satirize.
Eventually, the community that got its laughs by pretending to be idiots was overtaken by actual idiots who took ironic memes in a manner outside of their context to reshape them into a forced meme of themselves, which is rather ironic (not post-post-post ironic) considering that these anti memes originally intended to jab at such memes. It was probably the people ironic memes originally targeted who misinterpreted the intended message of these ironic memes as "stupid" humor for the sake of stupid humor who made it into genuinely stupid humor and exaggerated the irony to the level of memes like "succ".
The state of ironic memes at this moment just shows how far the idea of a "meme" has degraded from simply something that spreads across internet culture to purposeful attempts at not having value. It's the trough of internet culture at this point and it will take a long time to peak again.
