Alright guys, so I came across this song a little while ago, and it seemed incredibly familiar to me, but I couldn't quite pin where I'd heard it. I've shown it to basically all the people I talk to about music, and all of them have said the same thing. Any ideas? Was it used on a TV show or something? It's very evocative of Baroque music, I think. Maybe you were thinking of something that Bach or some other Baroque composer wrote.
In the meantime I now have to go listen to Supper's Ready. There goes my next half hour, thanks OP.

I think i've heard THIS used in a movie. It was about sea exploration or something, I forget what it was called but I remember the movie itself. I'm pretty sure this pins it though, thanks a ton for solving this, it won't drive me mad anymore!

That's incredibly interesting, and also makes a ton of sense.
As well as Bach Hackett is also a big fan of Francisco Tárrega and you can kinda hear that kinda "Memories of the Alhambra" thing in the intro to Blood On The Rooftops:

I can definitely hear the similarities. I also haven't checked out this album yet, this is a really nice track, thanks for sharing it. It's been added to my list of things to listen to. I'm starting to listen to Genesis album by album, just finished A Trick of the Tail a couple days ago. 'Entangled' is a really great song off that album.
