Used to dismiss Grateful Dead as boring hippie/druggie music that my dad listened to. I've been on a psychedelic streak and gave this a listen and HOLY SHIT. What else have I been missing?

I've been really wanting to get into the Grateful Dead, but they have like hundreds of live shows. Can anyone tell me which ones are the best?

Best terrapin station in my opinion
I think that this is their highest achievement as far as the albums they put out during their run as a band goes. They sound so tight and fluid, and there isn't a dull moment on here. It's also got some of their best songs; He's Gone, Tennessee Jed, and Ramble On Rose are straight up classics

a good place to start is the original Europe '72 live album and from there I would say look into exploring the extended Europe 72' full live recordings, its really interesting how many different takes they do on different songs in one tour
Dicks Picks volume 4 is a damn good live album.
Will I like their studio stuff even if I don't like country rock?

Depends what you listen to. Check out Garcia's first solo album.
