I've been trying to get into this genre. What does /mu/ recommend?

Well, it really depends on what style appeals to you the most.
Isis and Neurosis are essential, but not really "stoner" per se.
Personal recs from me would be Wo Fat, Egypt, Black Pyramid, Stonehelm, Bongzilla, and Dopefight.
There's loads of good stuff out there once you get past the more "entry level" kinda stuff. Eyehategod, Weedeater, Naam, I could go on.
