FACT: If you hate U2 but like R.E.M., Radiohead, Talking Heads, or Slowdive you are a hypocrite who has probably never even listened to U2 before and only hates then because they're cool to hate.
Achtung Baby is great, and they have some great singles.

>Shitty stadium rock
>Even comparable to those other bands
Kill yourself
>>66212292
I like their first three albums but I dislike them as a band
but Radiohead makes better music than U2
U2 was alright in the 90s. I'm bummed that I'm never gonna see a Zoo TV-era U2 performance live.

Saw ZooTV in Las Vegas with Public Enemy and the Sugar Cubes as the opening acts, Hands down best live performance I ever witnessed.

>thinks U2 early post-punk work is stadium rock shite
Go hang yourself.ñ
>>66212502
Maybe not shite but it's still stadium rock

And you say this like its a bad thing. To appeal top such a large scale of people to be able to sell tickets and fill any stadium in the civilized world. an don't give me that lowest common denominator shit. During the Achtune/Zooropa period of their career they were the absolute best their was.
>>66212292
I like everyone you named.
>>66212945
So you like U2 as well then?
>>66213136
Absolutely. Boy and War are their best imo.
>>66213153
That's the thing about U2. Their career was so diverse that most anybody can find some part of their discography that they like. post punk was so different to Joshua Tree era U2 and Achtune/Zooropa was a total reinvent of their sound.

Oasis wouldn't exist without U2
