OPN is repetitive without being boring. Polyrhythms, gentle modulation (prod wide, not music theory), and changing background noises make his loops tense or relaxing rather than stale.
I'm not sure I've ever heard qn artist remain so interesting despite having songs with like 16+ bar loops.
