Also 90% of bad covers are bad because the cover artists stick too closly to the original and end up sounding like a piss poor imitation, or completely change the sound of the original in a "lolsorandum" way that also doesn't add any insight or meaning to the original, like those shitty acoustic covers of rap songs by 12 years olds on youtube
