Find someone local who gives lessons. Take a few months of lessons and go from there. Just 6 months of lessons will teach you how to properly use your body to sing correctly and put you ahead of 99% of the people out there.

Imo learn how to sing with a soft voice. I usually warm up with soft songs so it eases my voice

My personal favorite is Over The Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
