What are /mu/'s thoughts on this album?
Lol Pitchfork gave it a 9.1
It's good, there album after it is better imo
Arguably their best album and one of the best Post Hardcore albums
God tier material
A great album start to finish. Head Wound City will never put out anything nearly as good as The Blood Brothers did.
It was a sad day when they broke up.

Outside of Morgan joining Fleet Foxes, none of their post-breakup bands have been able to compare to Blood Brothers. Kinda sad really

9/10
This album introduced me to post hardcore and is definitely an all-time classic. Fucking's Greatest Hits and Cecilia still get me so goddamn amped.
That being said it's a bit overproduced. It was produced by Ross Robinson, aka the guy who produced Korn's albums, and he adds so many unnecessary layers of static and studio effects that it gets to be somewhat distracting.
Anyway I'm glad you posted this OP. Blood Brothers don't get discussed enough. What did you think of Young Machetes?

This. Blood Brothers are fucking GOAT. Really unique band too. They're the best at mixing "indie rock" and post hardcore.
was lucky to see them during the reunion
Haven't listened to it in years.
