Fantastic album, really deserves to be regarded more widely as one of the best albums of its era. Really, way superior to the Jefferson Airplane and The Doors, and I say that as a fan of those bands.

That said, even though it is Arthur Lee's masterpiece, most of my favorite Love songs aren't on it (see: Always See Your Face https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkWVrLfiJKs

Listened to it a few days ago. Seemed like generic sixties hippie music. I was raised on sixties hippie music, so it's not like I don't already have some historical perspective on it. Can someone explain to me what makes it stand out in your eye?

It has an unexpectedly good arrangement. That's why I like it.

Overrated and vastly inferior to Sgt Pepper/Pet Sounds/Odessey but still probably better than all of the other hippie crap to come out of SanFran during the time.

Complete and utter shit. One of the most overrated albums ever.

Absolutely brilliant, but their first two before it get unfairly overshadowed by it. They're both great albums in their own right as well.
