influential means it actually influenced other musicians. more musicians cite the beatles as influences than frank zappa, and if they do cite zappa it's probably not because of lumpy gravy
It is a great album. Definitely a 9/10 for me, very underrated. A little too much spoken word on the second half IMO but other than that it's amazing.

I think parents of it are really good and should be incorporated into other songs. I don't consider Lumpy Gravy an actual ''album'', but a collection of great ideas that Frank didn't want to forget. And I respect that decision.
