Well they are a good band
Brian Jones era = best era
I think that is quite acceptable.
But many of their live performances are lame
(specially this one with Muddy Waters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc_GVeeo-20
if it wasn't for Muddy's musicians the live would have been terrible)

They're notoriously spotty. Can be greatest rock and roll band on earth some nights (well, between 1969-1981 anyway) and off and unfocused another. Stems from their deliberate sloppiness - means anything can go wrong at any time or be sublime.
Well, they are the greatest band of all time.
