It's better than Soundtracks for the blind
In my opinion it's like an intro into the seer
one of my favorite swans actually. It sounds most like their early no wave stuff.

It doesn't feel fully realized, that's why it bores me. It's like they were dipping their toes in the water so-to-speak in terms of experimenting with the new style of the band.
The opener is the only great song. Outside of that it's an alright record, nothing is all that bad on it, it just isn't very memorable.

The acoustic songs are better than a lot of ones on his later albums.
