Anyone else afraid that whenever you come up with a song you may have just heard it somewhere else, forgot the name, and just subconsciously think was your own idea?
How do you prevent this?
So far, I've managed to avoid this conundrum by not being a musician.

Just roll with it and add additional sections onto it.
No matter how original you feel you are being someone will have done it already
