CDs coming soon..... Also looking for black metal promoters/distributors
Hey /mu/tants. Apologies for the last message I left about leaving music and this board. Depression had taken a serious toll on me, but being able to process some stuff, I'm now back. I will be getting help soon.
I will in fact be breaking from recording my own solo material. I have a lot on my plate so to speak. I will be collaborating and producing with others, and I'll be trying to do some live shows and open mics for anyone in the Houston area interested, but the idea of solo material will be put off to the side for now.
I also want to help musicians on these threads, so I decided I will attempt to make a bit of a label with my bandcamp page. I'd love to have you guys aboard. Reply to this post if you have an interest in seeing this happen, or if you're a musician who wants some help, reply and I'll gladly give you a listen. Will be getting in contact with more musicians soon.
Thanks,
Jacob Hutto.

Whats the protocol for posting your own work? How often should I post the same release I made? Is it in bad taste to keep posting the same album?
I appreciated all the feed back from last thread.
Anyone have advise for putting things out on a cassette? (Would like to do that with a release, when my work is ready)
>>65797637
Roland, did you have albums earlier than carnival up there at some point? I thought I remembered seeing more (in my younger days on mu).

The main goal is to post your material, provide feedback, and overall give these threads a sense of community that not only is looking for the better of itself but the progression of art as well.
I've been posting the same album since I released it in April. If you believe your album is worth listening to, by all means do it. You never know who might stumble on it. As long as you're getting involved I don't think it matters.
As far as cassettes go, we ordered a few from cryptic carousel. Google them and see if any of their prices are within your budget.

Will what did you think of the latest Teen Suicide album compared to waste yrself?

>Described as ''Oddball as as fuck''
>Described as ''Meek"

Do you guys think I should take down this album? (is it too filler-y or subpar?)
Forgot to post my link.

Ah okay. Ill check them out! Usually I try to give a thorough listen and feedback!
>>65798869
Nah, don't take down. Just because the vocals aren't to everyone's liking doesn't mean it's a bad album. Like I told you before, the instrumentals are great. Just keep the good ideas, improve the bad ideas, and make another album!

I love this stuff. Your voice reminds me of lou reed, its grea
>>65798856
they're honestly super different so hard to say, I certainly loved both- the newest album was really original and abstract and often times had a really dreamy and pleasant sound while waste yrself was a lot more melancholic and melodic. So kinda hard to say desu, love both albums though
>>65799363
Yeah my thoughts exactly. Which is cool with me, either way their releases are good and that's all that matters.
I do sort of wish they cut back on material, it was bit too long for my taste and their style but I'm sure most fans just look at it as more material to hold off until the next release (whenever that may be)

I post my latest stuff as frequently as possible. There are a few cassette labels around, I'm trying to get one out myself but numbers can be very limited.

I did re-release Carnival a long time ago since it was originally titled Music For The Sensitive Man but I figured it was too long and irrelevant to the music. But I had no albums before that. The re-release was also needed since I mixed the original in mono which I wasn't happy with.
