After listening to all of them again over a couple of days, The Glowing Man is the best in the trilogy in my opinion family. If they released this in 2014 instead of now people would have shit their pants, this "rape" accusation and having two 10/10 albums before this one has tainted peoples perceptions of the album. The Title track shits all over Bring The Sun and Frankie M and Cloud of Unknowing are some of the best music swans have produced, I can't get The Glowing Man out of my head.

I knew I would love Frankie M and The Glowing man, I've heard the live versions, they are both 20+ minutes each and to me, if I liked those 2 tracks and that was it, I'd be satisfied. I was not expecting Cloud of forgetting, cloud of Unknowing and the world look red/the world looks black to be so good. Even people like us and when will I return are great tracks. After a year or so I think people will realize it has a slight edge on the other 2 albums. Pitchfork will give it a 7.5 and fandango will give it a strong 7 to decent 8 thiugh. Screencap this.

The Seer is the only good album on this pic.
I haven't listened to The Glowing Man yet, but on To Be Kind, the drone concept that was fresh, novel and spot on for the whole concept of rituals on The Seer, felt completely forced and ineffectual.
It almost seems like Gira is going to keep churning out drone release after drone release until p4k gives him a bad review.
The Glowing Man is the perfect conclusion to this era of Swans.
First two tracks are some of my favorite Swans songs of all time.

This album is a lot more mellow and relies on grooves a lot more than the seer and TBK, the only droney part is the updated drone section from Bring The Sun which is now a part of the title track The Glowing Man. Bring the sun was underwhelming for me and The Glowing Man fixes it in almost every way.
