There are songs, albums and artists who are worth listening to in a certain context.
However, that context varies by huge margins. For example, Weird Al makes sense as music in the context of the pop hits he is producing parodies of. If you haven't heard the "hits of the '80s 90's and today", you can't really "get" Weird Al. They're all contextual songs.
In that way, an album is accessible if the average radio listener needs no further information to "get" it, or at least enjoy it.
