runs a little less than 30 minutes, one of the most well produced albums considering it was made on a reel-to-reel in the artist's bedroom.
No album should be less than 30 minutes, at that point it should just be an EP

EPs generally imply the work is less polished. Runtime isn't super relevant there. EG: Sufjan Steven's All Delighted People EP is around an hour long but the production quality is far below Sufjan standards. Although its a masterfully put together EP, they're most likely songs that didn't fit on albums or something to that affect.
Where as something like The Antlers - In The Attic of the Universe is a fully realized, cohesive concept album. Despite its runtime, its fully realized and has a proper arc.
Some EPs are just labelled EPs because the artist says so. See Godspeed You Black Emperor! - Moya for example.

Because isn't that the whole point of an EP? To release material that isn't complete enough for a full album. At what point do EP and LP become synonymous, it seems the only difference is the calling it that.

this is me and this is a good explanation thanks
Almost the ideal metal album running time
Also too lazy to post again, but Immortal's Battles in the North and Seikima-II's first album also

thanks for this, that's pretty helpful

who cares if it's less than 30 minutes if the music is good? Just consider it an EP if you need to for whatever reason, it's not like you have to buy music anymore
