It really isn't. The only real bad parts are the beginnings of Untitled and Alvin Row and those are over very quickly.

It's overblown. I'd been listening to AnCo for forever, but had put off Spirit because I'd heard how noisy it was etc. When I finally listened to it, I was delighted that it was another Animal Collective pop record. A really really good one too.
