Summer classics week. He needs the views.
>>
Tomorrow when he releases his stupid pan of TMR, hopefully everyone will give up on the melon for good.
>>

They're the exclusive ones he did last year aren't they?

Couldn't take the review seriously after he said that.

Yeah I love how he gets massive hate for shitting on popular rap. He does stick to his guns though and eats the dislikes which is pretty cool.
>>
if you don't wanna wait here's a playlist of all of his "for pay" album reviews for free that some guy posted here awhile back
its mostly complete, its just missing that emperor one and maybe one or two others

Fantano has lost all my respect.
>>

the one on his main channel is still there, but the original unlisted one you had to donate for got deleted
>>
>>65707247
as much as i agree, pretty sure wanting him to review the new ye would be pretty valid
i mean /mu/ went off when TLOP dropped
>>
He fucking nailed it to be fair. CttE and And You And I are fantastic. Siberian Khatru is a poor finish by their standards.

Relayer is the better record.

Siberian Khatru is miles better than To Be Over you pleb, the only track on Relayer that is superior is Sound Chaser over And You and I, and CttE and Gates of Delirium are equal.

Yes. I paid $5 dollars for this video. I suggested he donate a portion of the proceeds to the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix in honor of Chris Squire and he did. Money well spent.
>>
>>65707161
He looks like the Crypt Keeper.
>>
>>65708385
CttE = Gates of Delirium > And You And I > Sound Chaser > To Be Over > Siberian Khatru

Personally. Hence Realyer > CttE

Can someone give me a quick intro to Yes? I've been meaning to get into them but there's a lot of albums. Is there an era I should avoid or anything?
>>
>>65709935
Fragile->Close to the Edge->Yes album->Tales of Topographic Oceans, imo
>>
>>65709156
>more difficult, but more rewarding later album
wut? Only in your brain you faggot.
>>
>>65709935
Anything in the 70s is pretty much great. Earky 70s are widely regarded as the better half, but all of '71-'77 were the best years.
>>
>>65709958
>>65710011
Thanks. Been listening to Fragile and Closer to the Edge recently, they're good. I'll just go through the 70s and explore more from there.
>>
>>65710060
>I'll just go through the 70s and explore more from there.
There's really no need, actually. Drama from 1980 is okay (many think it's underrated), and 90125 is their only worthwhile 80s synthpop album. Both completely optional. Their debut is okay, and completely optional. You could really stay in 70s and get a completely satisfactory catalogue of Yes.
>>
>>65710060
>>65710162
By the way, once you've digested Close to the Edge and Fragile, you should work towards Tales from Topographic Oceans and Relayer. They are the patrician albums. After that Going For the One is just plain fun.
>>
>>65707126
hes doing the glow pt 2 tomorrow. tmr is in december
>>
Wow what a stupid faggot
>>
>>65710060
also, Time And A Word (1970) is a pretty solid album, though it isn't brought up often.
>>
>>65710162
>>65710203
So the entire second half of their discography isn't worthwhile? Not even an outlier?

Yeah I'll just go chronologically through the 70s and see what's up
>>
>>65710304
Not really, no. Much of it is a pale imitation of their 70s material. I listened to most of their 90s-00s albums on release and found it largely forgettable. I very rarely revisit it. Some people like Union (and also the album released as 'Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe'), but I think you're better off looking to their live albums and Wakeman's '70s solo stuff if you want more.
>>
>>65708823
Why the fuck do you donate to someone so that they can donate to someone else?
>>
>>65710304
fly from here is okay, magnification and keys to ascension 2 have some nice moments
but really, everything after GFTO can be ignored for the most part

To access the review...
>>
Fantano is such a bitch that he refuses to actually give these classics a number rating
>>
>>65711994
You'd think this would be obvious...
>>
>>65706449
In the time required to listen to thid review, you could listen to 2/3s of the album's title track.

Keep this in mind when choosing how to spend your time.

FWIW, I'm one of the people who thinks Drama (1980) is underrated. Better than Tormato (1978) and, more controversially, I prefer it to Going for the One (1977.) It's just a damn good album that brings in some new wave influence and lets Chris Squire's bass playing really shine.

My recommended listening order would be to start with Drama and The Yes Album (1971) and work your way inwards at both ends. Skip Tormato because that album is kind of medocre. I'd also say skip Fragile (1971) on your first pass as well. It has some great tracks, but also some filler, it doesn't flow as well as an album, and you've probably already heard Roundabout anyway. But everything else in that date range is great. Once you've heard all that, go back and listen to Fragile, and then listen to Time and a Word (1970,) which as someone else said is also pretty solid.
>>
>>65714747
I forgot to mention, but the two live albums, Yessongs (1973) and Yesshows (1980) are also a good summary of their golden age.
>>
>>65706449
To be continued

>>65710216
no he might do a one that wasnt in early access for the last one
like he did with Kid A
