Brothers in Arms, easily
gkmc sounds exactly the same in mastering terms
>Random Access Memories (2013), 4/10

>having no idea what mastering is and that it has nothing to do with perceived "musical" quality of a record, only with fidelity

Sad that someone spent so much time on this ingenious mastering job and 90% of the listeners will consume it through iPod earbuds on a Spotify app
>>65705214
I thought it was pretty good, i've never understood why it gets so much hate here
Giorgrio by Moroder is an excellent track
>>65705122
some of the bass actually favours one channel in the mix in a not intentional sort of way
The Chronic, 2001, Mezzanine, a lot of dadcore.

This.
Poorfag here. How does one judge the quality of mastering and mixing?

Giorgio by Moroder is THE best track on the record imo.
The entire album is pretty solid, and definitely their best (not counting Alive 2007)
mastering is not why it sounds good. Mastering refers to normalization and volume, which is done at the very end of production.
Recording, mixing and engineering is what you're actually talking about. Please stop calling these things 'mastering'. Thank you.

Yes but creating a thread saying "name an album that sounds better than this" causes lots of confusion where as people who do and dont know what real mastering is, understand what the thread is about.

Pretty much
The album starts good, lulls in the middle, then end ends good.
I listened to it before any reviews came out and hype got to people, so I thought it was good, just not their best; it's definitely not their worst like many people here claim.
