Geddy Lee from Rush here! My son Julian introduced me to this site in 2010 and I've been browsing anonymously and having a look at the community in general...Quite like /b/ and /out/ so far, I'm surprised that Rush gets brought up so often in /mu/ - didn't think you people would like the oldies! Feel free to ask me any questions...
Dude! I loved you in Top Gear!
Holy shit, this is exciting.

"Quite like /b/" - top kek
is Tom Sawyer a power ballad?
>>65692578

Rush? More like shush.
I thought the lead singer of Rush was a girl until about 16

He was a girl until about 16. In fact he was one of the first people to undergo FTM sexual reassignment surgery.

Now that's simply just not true.
What are your favorite modern prog bands?
What about the voice of Geddy Lee, how did it get so high?
I wonder if he speaks like an ordinary guy

Modern progressive bands? Like progressive in the sense that they're taking music from 40-50 years ago and emulating it?
yeah i have a question
why does 2112 go to shit after 1 song
I got three questions
1. When are Rush gonna go back to being a guitar driven band that made Rush so great from their first album all the way up to Permanent Waves? You lost me after that album when the band became all synth oriented. Alex Lifeson is a damned fine guitar player.
2. When is Neil Pert gonna stop drumming like he has something to prove? He's an excellent drummer, but really annoying at times. Even drummers such as Keith Moon, Bill Kreutzman and Micky Hart realized that they got the job after a while. Neil plays like he's insecure, and could get fired at any minute, and since he's been with the band since Fly By Night, I think he'd realize he has job security.
3. What Ayn Rand novel is 2112 based on?
collab with robert fripp when?
