I listened to the beginning of ExMil, TMS, and Bottomless Pit, and it was too fucking loud and obnoxious electronic fart noises. I listen to a lot of poppier stuff like Anco, Beatles, other classic rock, and bands like Vampire Weekend, Radiohead, and The Strokes. I also like better rap like Kanye, Chance, etc.

They're my favorite band right now. I love the instrumentation and loud, heavy, electronic futuristic synths that they have. Also MC Ride is a very good writer. Also the fact that he writes about stuff like the internet and violence and just very vulgar things I think is pretty fucking cool.

I think in large part it comes down to the fact that they are kind of groove-less.
I primarily listen to hypnotic repetitive music where there is a steady tempo, and most of my friends do too. Some of them can't stand stuff like Death Grips or hardcore punk or free jazz where there is constant shifting rhythms, stop-and-go tendencies, or just plain fucking chaos.
Some people, like this anon here, are blessed with an ear for both extremes.
