Post albums that make you feel uneasy
In The Court of the Crimson King.
I don't think I'll be able to get into progressive rock

Emerson, Lake & Pamer - Brain Salad Surgery
For anyone curious
This shit right here.
Try Univers Zero.

Why did you start with this?
Why not start with Yes or ITCOTCK?

It's kind of the point though for some of it.

It's ok anon, that album is in general complete garbage
Again, somewhat the point.
Part of this album makes me deeply uneasy, but one part of this album made me cry and I wish i could remember where or why.
It's basically the Soundtracks For the Blind of Proto-Vaporwave, even down to the loose and hard to define story/concept going on.

Friend recommended it to me, said EL&P was fantastic
Listened to Tarkus, self titled, and Brain salad. Didn't really like any of them except tarkus' album track
What exactly is Yes and that acronym?
>>65651971
Your friend has garbage taste then
Yes are another prog band, way less self indulgent than ELP
ITCOTCK stands for In the Court of the Crimson King, fantastic album, gave birth to modern prog.
>>65651903
someone listen. pls. I need to know someone else experienced it.

Man, go for Univers Zero, you cannot go wrong if you want music to make you feel uneasy.
>>65651971
In the Court of the Crimson King. it may be too heavy for you, but that's up for you to decide. A lot of prog is an acquired taste.
Yes is probably one of the most prolific and influential prog bands of the 70's although they fell of hard. Also a lot pop-ier than most. They have a lot of great albums like The Yes album and Close to the Edge.

Are you serious?
>>65652015
Pretty Much. I ended up listening to Origin of the Feces as my last album I could hear for the first time, I got a little tear in my eye when Pete broke into the British verse during Kill You Tonight, as it's hilarious and exactly the kind of thing he'd do.
>>65652030
Bud, i'm not crying about how nobody else has listened to Poor Homme.

KFC City 3099: Toxic Spill

Whoops, I should have recognized the acronym, blame autism
I already listened to Crimson King, which I found more enjoyable before thinking that Emerson, Lake and Palmer was the next step
will give Yes a listen right now, thanks for the reccs

this is one of ferraro's best
i find it kind of funny 2bh, it's like the soundtrack to a very trashy 80s horror movie
>>65651699
I hate it so much I went through the 5 stages of loss & grief
