I also like Quasimoto, but that's because for me, the pitch editing fits the druggy, psychedelic nature of the record, makes the alter-ego seem more cartoony while still believable in the album's context.
The way I interpreted the ending was that Kendrick is fearful for how hip-hop is going to turn out, and how the black community will change over time, and that he is trying to ask Tupac for answers, the way someone who is a leader of something will ask their parents for help, when they realize they have to be at the forefront of making the decisions, and that Kendrick believes that hip-hop and black people have to stop looking at their idols from the past, no matter how helpful, for help and have to start focusing on the issues that's presented to them right now.
