I never understood the appeal of that midwest sound.
Moss Icon's Lyburnum is also a contender. And The Hated's Every Song. Indian Summer of course.And, if we count the Gravity Stuff, Heroin is surely one of the greatest bands of the emo strain.
I don't think of Unwound as 'emo', but Future of What is one of the greatest album of nineties underground music.
