Great beginning track, nice middle tracks, nice ending. It has a very pleasant feel throughout. Seamus on Meddle kind of breaks the flow from the rest of the album. I think they're both amazing albums, but AHM is just more consistently pleasant and comfy.

Though people seem to hate David Gilmour's 80's style in AMLoR, I kind of like it. It's different from their previous works, yet still sounds similar (because, you know, it's made by the same people). It's refreshing to hear something different from a band who had started to be more and more depressing as time went on.
Nostalgia might also have a large part in why i like it so much as well; it's the first album I remember hearing all the way through as a child.
Also, I do not understand why people hate Dogs of War so much, but say that On The Turning Away is at least decent. The only real difference is that one has a guitar solo and the other has a sax solo.

I mean, like I said I enjoy Gilmour's Floyd albums, but at the very least Momentary Lapse should be on the same level as The Wall imo, both have bad/iffy songs but also some great stand-out tracks (in Momentary's case, Sorrow and Learning to Fly).
Also I personally dislike Dogs of War due to its lyrics, but thats just me.
