I remember I found this in a sharethread, I downloaded it just because I have armenian roots.
I don't really mind lyrical music but this is outstanding. It might have took a couple of listens to fully embrace it.
Her voice and the mellow organ playing in the background are incredible. It's melancholic, introspective, beautiful.

Sharethreads always have tons of obscure, interesting albums. I see stuff in those that would never get talked about on the rest of mu. I've seen some of the albums in this thread in previous sharethreads lol
This one is a weird record: electronic 80's pop, experimental, sounds cold and human at the same time. It has some hypnotic repetitive passages which are pretty interesting imao.

folk music played with an unusual instrument (I don't remember the name right now) the player has a haunting falsetto voice and it all sounds kinda dark and creepy. I think this guy was also important for rescuing old tunes from oblivion.

That's one of my favorites too. He's a true outsider. Some of the songs are almost embarrassingly earnest and that instrument he's playing just pushes it over the edge.

As long as some good eastern europe shit is getting posted, this is Penderecki's Utrenja. It's just the most jarring, beautiful, shocking piece of music I've ever heard. I remember the first time I listened to this and Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima, I thought to myself that all the punks, hardcore rockers, swans... all of them were done. Penderecki had them all beat, without ever touching an electronic instrument, back in 1970.

This album is great. Seazer was part of a theatre collective and his music was composed for and used in their plays. The music is always dramatic and highly psychedelic. Even his lo-fi stuff like Sealbreaking is fun to listen to.
