Lead Technician of Avantgarde Audio Assembly here, tried my amp out loud after cleaning it up and it seemed fairly clean. The super-fuzz effect may have been due to the connection between my amp and my PC (possibly dust collecting in the 6.35mm to 3.5mm jack adapter I had left in the amp).

I'm thinking about attending theory courses at a music academy. I still have a year to go for my bachelor in EE, and I'm pretty sure I could fit in the courses. And after that year I hope that I'd be good enough in theory to attend it regularly. And if that's not worth it I'll just go for my master in electronics or maybe look at audio engineering. Take a scale and bend to the right pitches along to a metronome, but don't release the bend. This forces you to make sure your bends are clean as well as making sure they are the right pitch.

Can definitely get some good subtle sounds, and then more intense stuff like in "No Quarter" for example.

Well I first ask the CL guy for a bunch of photos to see damages and lie about what I wanna see like "can I see a closeup of the fretboard I want to see what type of maple/rosewood cut was used" and they send it and I can see how dirty a board is and if there's any fret wear.
"Can you record some volume swells? I use that a lot in my playing" that's to hear any scratchy/dirty pots
"Can I see a closeup of the sides and back of the guitar? I want to see what type of wood and grain it has" I can see any buckle rash, blemishes dents or discoloration.
I then use these photos including the ones of the flaws for an online listing then I highlight in the description said flaws. I'm not adversity get the guitar as "JUST LIKE ITS OUT OF THE BOX CONDITION"

Les Pauls are OK, too thick for my taste. I like non Gibson LP copies a lot more though. I used to own this Gibson 50s Tribute Goldtop but the P90s were garbage and the wraparound bridge was idiotic. Not to mention that horrible angle that the headstock is on that would snap clean off if you tapped something. Ended up selling it for $610, bought it for $500 made a pretty good profit

6505s are identical and cheaper. It's a good amplifier to have in your arsenal. Cheap, sounds good for what it is, and reliable.
You could probably get the combo even cheaper really. They don't need a bias mod either. Just avoid the Chinese ones and you should be gold.
Stock speakers are pretty average though. I'd chuck in V30s or Mesa C90s depending on how loud you like to play.
