>His ("VINYL") collection consist of albums he knows and likes.
Why do people do this?
>he opens his LPs
"it sounds SO MUCH warmer and betterererer"
>listens on a $50 record player to worn out uncared for records...
lel vinyl
>his ("VINYLS") were purchased in an urban outfitters

No one collects vinyl because they claim that it sounds better
That's like saying people collect stamps because they like their envelopes to look pretty
>>65298705
Why would you buy an album that you don't know and like when we have music in digital form so we don’t have to spend our money on shit albums by shit musicians?
>>65298911
except people cite their 'warmth' all the time
obviously they don't have superior quality, but some people seem to like their degraded sound
>>65298942
because a lot of people like to pretend theyre j dilla or whatever
>>65298705
Because they enjoy music.

>except people cite their 'warmth' all the time
No they don't
Only the retards like you, who keep getting butthurt over other people's hobbies keep mentioning that
>>65298978
I'm not butthurt (as I'm not the anon you were talking to) and if you can't acknowledge that the sound quality of records is generally considered warm in a positive way by its fans then you're actually fucking retarded
>>65298992
And if you think that people collect records because of quality you are even retarder
>>65299018
some people legitimately believe that records have superior sound quality, but that's beside the point. what I'm saying is that records sound "warm" to many people and therefore could be said to have a warm quality to them. many people buy them because of this "warmth."

the FACT is most albums have a different master for the vinyl release. sometimes said master sounds objectively better. a different or broader dynamic range than a cd or mp3. the drawback is that the vinyl becomes warped or scratched with age and use.
>>65299097
that's correct, but that's not something innate to the medium itself. you can just as easily have as good or broader dynamic range on a digital master than you can on a record.
>>65299097
that's cool, most albums you think? i tend to favor dynamics these days after my ears have been fucked and spewed in by years of overcompressed flat mastering

>He spends money on lp's just to hoard them and never to be listen.
I like to buy mystery packs of unlabelled records just to see what's on them.
