We only stay for the new artists and not actually read the reviews right?
>>
Also they have given Blur and U2 multiple 9.5s
>>
I honestly don't get what you're trying to say, OP.

I think I remember them giving a bunch of early indie rock, pop rock and ska some 9.5 and then deleted it. Can't find them or remember them on the archive desu

Pitchfork's incredibly inconsistent and it bugs me

yes, this is correct.

People make mistakes, people can be wrong. At least they leave the original reviews up for everyone to see, not all sites do.

>caring about pitchfork scores
>>
>>65274081
Ok OP, here's the deal. At one point Pitchfork was a shitty webzine that did stunt reviews for attention and Ryan Schreiber actually didn't get the joke with Andrew W.K. Then somewhere in the early 2000s they got gud and they were much more knowledgable and interested in exposing all kinds of music. Then later they got in thrall to advertisers and the supposed changing tastes of a new demographic and started focusing on hip-hop, R&B, celebrity news, garbage. Granted, columns still ran, they gave deserving BNMs, shit was ok. But then last year they got bought out by Condé Nast, owner of The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, etc., and they've become a milquetoast celebrity rag with some trivial writing here and there, really safe and boring, pop is their focus essentially.

Yeah ok I see it now, but *why do you care so much*
>>
>>65274034
>discussing people's reactions to music rather than the music itself
Oh you must write for Pitchfork.
>>
>>65274143
Ah all good but why must they delete em?
>>65274132
that's embarrassing
>>65274206
