How about different bands? I really dig Tago Mago so I know I'll like Can for sure.

lol, this is my second time in /mu/ and I feel validated by how everything I've listened to for years and years in total fucking solitude is like the main shit in this place. crazy.

Anyway, I don't know what you like about Can, so I can't really know what you're looking for but you could check out these:

This is really good. Listen to the whole album, could only find songs on YT.

this is music that works while driving after dark. listen to the whole album.

Tangerine dream for inter dimensional travels. This song sounds like the epilogue of a love story from another world.

really spiritual stuff. These guys had one foot in heaven and the other in a basement with bongos and synths. really good.

there's tons more, but I can't remember right now. Can - future days is the only can I've really heard, but it is seriously good. It's like falling asleep and you got this hypnagogic imagery floating around until the bass note hits and you open your eyes inside the dream.

let me know what you think.

Krautrock is basically all experimental german music from the seventies, and unless you dig deeply, you won't find much similarity between the bands.

The best "rock" bands are Amon Düül 2 (start with Yeti), Neu!, Faust (go chronologically, but feel free to stop with the breakup - Ravvivando is the only decent reunion album) and Popol Vuh.
There are also more electronic bands such as Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, early Kraftwerk, Cluster/Kluster etc. Their earlier stuff is recommended if you enjoyed Aumgn from Tago Mago
