I hope I don't come off as a troll but I literally just bought the "Music Theory for Dummies" book when I wanted to learn it.
It's helpful, provides the basics you need to know and accessible for people like us who still don't know jack shit.

Play an instrument. Piano, guitar, band orchestra, singing, whatever. You learn so much better when you're actually utilizing the knowledge you gain.
