Hey guys, my girlfriend just called death grips trip hop and she's only listened to The Money Store. Would she be correct to call them Trip Hop or not?

trip hop is basically slow-mid tempo breakbeats with different sample loops used throughout a song. i don't know if DG has songs like his, I haven't really lsitened to them since 2012. Most of their music seems noisey and inspired by more abrasive genres
I could see them being influenced by it. But that's stretching genres a bit too much for me. Portishead is only trip hop artist that matters anyway. And I guess Massive Attack
